(Alliance News) - Infrastructure investment company HICL Infrastructure PLC on Thursday named Rita Akushie as a non-executive director, effective from the start of next year.
Akushie is currently the chief financial officer and executive director of corporate resources for charity Cancer Research UK. She also serves as chair of the audit committee for cancer research facility Beatson Institute.
Her previous roles include CFO & deputy chief executive at charitable housing association Newlon Group and finance director at Thames Valley Housing.
HICL Chair Ian Russell said: "I am delighted to welcome Rita to the board. She has had a distinguished career working at a senior level in social housing and charitable organisations. Her background in financial management, in combination with her experience of working at the intersection of the public and private sectors, will bring perspectives that are complementary to the existing directors and thereby strengthen the Board overall."
Shares in HICL - which is headquartered in London - were broadly flat at 160.64 pence each on Thursday in London.
