LONDON (Alliance News) - Herencia Resources PLC Wednesday said it hadn't been impacted by the earthquake in northern Chile.
In a statement, the mining company extended its condolences to those affected by the quake, but said no damage had been reported at any of its projects.
A magnitude-8.2 earthquake struck about 100 kilometres off northern Chile Wednesday, triggering landslides that cut roads and damaged infrastructure. The Chilean authorities ordered an evacuation of the whole coastline due to fears of a destructive tsunami, although the tsunami alert was lifted across much of the country by 0500 GMT.
Herencia shares were flat at 0.44 pence Wednesday morning.
