Henry Boot Sells Bristol Developments In Markey Group Partnership

25th Nov 2019 11:45

(Alliance News) - Construction and property developer Henry Boot PLC on Monday said a joint venture has sold two student accommodation assets in Bristol.

Sheffield-based Henry Boot developed the Centregate and Colston student accommodation sites in a joint venture with Markey Group. The two have been sold to Sunway Residence for GBP18.7 million.

"Both prime assets, Centregate and the Colston were HBD's first foray into the student accommodation market, which has proved very successful," said Julian Painter, a director at Henry Boot Developments.

"Both have a solid trading history, are extremely well-located and are designed to the highest standards, so we've no doubt that they will continue to perform well."

HBD has a development pipeline of over GBP1.6 billion, Henry Boot said, across retail, office space, logistics, and residential.

Shares were 1.9% higher on Monday at a price of 267.00 pence each.
