(Alliance News) - Property investor Henry Boot PLC said Wednesday it has appointed Tim Roberts as chief executive officer with effect from the start of 2020.
He will be replacing John Sutcliffe, who will step down at the end of 2019 after three years in the role. Sutcliffe will then remain in an advisory position until company's annual general meeting on May 21, 2020.
Roberts's most recent role was at FTSE 100-listed investment trust British Land Co PLC, which he was executive director and head of the Offices division for 15 years since 2004.
"The board has conducted a rigorous selection process, with an external recruitment partner, during which both internal and external candidates were assessed for the role. We are delighted that this has resulted in the appointment of Tim, who stood out from our list of strong candidates due to his track record of success in property investment and development and his delivery of long-term value creation," said Chair Jamie Boot.
Shares in Henry Boot were up 4.5% at 245.00 pence on Wednesday.
