LONDON (Alliance News) - Henderson European Focus Trust PLC Thursday said its net asset value per share total return rose 16.5% in the first half of its financial year, significantly outperforming its benchmark which rose only 8.7%.
The UK-based investment trust said its share price total return was up 18.4% in the six months to end-March. It said the discount narrowed significantly during the period, and the shares at times traded at a premium to the NAV per share.
"European equity markets have broadened and former laggards such as banks and even utilities have come in from the cold," the trust said in a statement.
Shares in the trust closed 0.3% higher Thursday at 964.50 pence.
