Henderson Diversified Income NAV Total Return Rises In First-Half

3rd Jun 2014 14:34

LONDON (Alliance News) - Henderson Diversified Income Ltd Tuesday said its net asset value total return rose 4.7% in the first-half of the year ended April 30, while its share price total return rose almost 3.5%.

The closed-ended investment company said its net asset value per share made steady progress over the six month period, and as at April 30 was 89.4 pence. Its share price as at April 30 was 92.0 pence.

"Whilst income returns will continue to be strong, capital growth will be harder to achieve as both our bond and loan investments look fully valued. It still seems unlikely that interest rates will rise before the end of this year so there will continue to be a preference for fixed rate bonds over floating rate secured loans for the time being," the company said in a statement.

Shares in the company were trading 1.2% lower Tuesday afternoon, at 91.875 pence.
