(Alliance News) - Helium One Global Ltd announced on Monday that it has concluded the electrical submersible pump testing at its southern Rukwa Helium Project in Tanzania, with zero lost time injuries.
The company, which is the primary helium explorer in Tanzania, announced that it produced the equivalent of 250,000 barrels of water over a 20-day testing period, with flow rates increasing six-fold to 16,400 barrels per day compared to "natural flow" during a 2024 extended well test.
Helium concentration reached a maximum of 9.2% at surface, with a sustained concentration of 5.4%, while the sustained average gas water ratio was measured at 0.06 cubic metres per cubic metre during the continuous flow period.
As such, Helium One announced it is ready to begin the farmout process to identify and select a suitable industry partner.
Chair James Smith said that the testing "delivered consistent and reliable operational performance, with ESP flow rates exceeding expectations and sustained helium concentrations in line with anticipated ranges".
"Importantly, the operational success of this programme provides a strong foundation for the company to progress discussions with potential industry partners and seek external investment to advance the project towards development. The company intends to commence this process imminently," Smith added.
Helium One, which holds a mining licence covering 480 square kilometres in the area, will proceed to schedule further testing at other targets within the fractured basement.
Helium One Global shares rose 5.8% to 0.83 pence on Monday in London.
