Headlam Trading In Line As UK Revenue Offsets European Weakness

21st May 2015 08:50

LONDON (Alliance News) - Floorcoverings distributor Headlam Group PLC on Thursday said its revenue increased in the first four months of the year, and it remains confident it will meet its 2015 targets.

Headlam said revenue increased 2.8% in the first four months of 2015 year-on-year, with like-for-like revenue growth of 4.5% in the UK, boosted by 6.7% growth in commercial activity and 3.7% growth in residential. In Continental Europe, however, revenue dropped 7.2% in constant currencies, principally due to the contraction of activity in France.

Headlam said its gross margin remains healthy and improved in the first four months, and it expects to meet its expectations for the full year.

Shares in Headlam were up 0.4% to 470.00 pence on Thursday.
