LONDON (Alliance News) - Hayward Tyler Group PLC Thursday said it has won an order worth over GBP850,000 to provide four reactor-cooling freshwater units for the Royal Navy's sixth and seventh Astute class submarines, due this financial year.
The company, which also held its annual general meeting Thursday, said it continues to make "excellent" progress, particularly in nuclear-related activities.
Hayward said it has received formal confirmation of grant funding of up to GBP1 million as part of the Civil Nuclear Sharing in Growth programme with the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
The funding will be used for ongoing shop-floor improvements, training and business development activity over a three year period.
Hayward Tyler shares were quoted up 0.8% at 80.62 pence Thursday afternoon.
