Haydale Graphene Industries Shares Rise On Supply Deal With HP1

15th Jan 2019 09:41

LONDON (Alliance News) - Haydale Graphene Industries PLC said Tuesday it signed a 18-month supply agreement with HP1 Technologies Ltd.

Haydale shares were trading up 13% at 32.85 pence each on the back of the news.

Under the agreement, Haydale will supply HP1 with 76 kilos of its propriety piezoresistive ink. No financial details of the deal were disclosed due to its "commercially sensitive nature".

Working in collaboration with HP1, the functionalised ink will be used to create printed sensors, allowing the company to monitor changes when mechanical stress is applied, Haydale explained.

"This supply agreement demonstrates a significant step forward in the commercialisation of our functionalised nano carbon-based inks. We welcome the opportunity to work with HP1 in these early development stages and we look forward to developing the relationship further," Haydale Chair David Banks said.

HP1T creates printed nano carbon-based sensor systems that can measure and collect high quality impact and pressure data.
