LONDON (Alliance News) - Havelock Europa said that whilst its first-half of the year is "proving to be quiet," discussions with new and existing clients gives it confidence activity will increase in the second half, in a statement at its annual general meeting Monday.
The retail and educational interiors company said that it continues to expect its Education division to be subdued in 2014, but it had seen encouraging levels of enquiries and quotations, and it is working hard to convert them to a strong order book in 2015.
Havelock said it remained focused on its cost controls and improving its margins. It is continuing to invest in the business, and is putting in place a new Enterprise Resource Planning Programme to increase its efficiency. ERP is a business management software used across a business for its activities.
Havelock's new Graduate Scheme is underway, the company said, and it hopes to recruit a number of graduates into the business to build on the success of its apprentices scheme and Havelock Academy programme.
Shares in Havelock Europa closed up 0.4% at 23.60 pence.
