Harvey Nash Trades In Line, Expects Higher Interim Revenue And Profit

30th Aug 2018 13:46

LONDON (Alliance News) - Harvey Nash Group PLC said Thursday its trading remains in line with the board's expectations for the full year .

The head hunter added that it expects revenue for the first half of the year to July 31, to be GBP527 million and gross profit to be GBP51.7 million.

A year ago, the company posted interim revenue of GBP425.3 million and gross profit of GBP48.2 million.

The company said: "The increase in revenue in the first six months compared with the six months ending 31 July 2017 is largely due to increases in contract recruitment, managed services and IT outsourcing as a result of both organic growth and acquisitions, whilst permanent recruitment has been broadly flat.

"This change in mix is reflected in the relatively smaller increase in gross profit in the period."

Shares in the recruitment consultancy company were trading up 0.7% at 131.95 pence each.
