Harvest Minerals Secures Trademark For Brazilian Fertiliser Brand

13th Jan 2020 11:10

(Alliance News) - Harvest Minerals Ltd on Monday said it has received a trademark for its fertiliser product in Brazil.

Harvest shares were 6.5% higher in London on Monday morning at a price of 3.70 pence each.

The trademark has been granted for 'Kamafugito', which is the source material used to produce the company's remineraliser, KPFertil.

Harvest said the trademark will last for ten years, and can be renewed after each ten-year period ends.

Executive Chair Brian McMaster said: "Kamafugito, or Kamafugite, is a term we use extensively in our marketing in Brazil, so it is therefore prudent for us as a maturing business to take all the necessary steps to protect our intellectual property."

Harvest produces KPFertil from the Arapua project in Minas Gerais state in Brazil. It has an indicated and inferred resource of 13.1 million tonnes of ore, at grades of 3.1% potassium oxide and 2.5% phosphorus pentoxide.
