(Alliance News) - Harvest Minerals Ltd on Thursday reported that testing has found its KPfertil product can be used in place of fertilisers.
The product is made at the remineraliser producer's Arapua project in Brazil.
Testing of the KPfertil remineraliser has been conducted by independent consultants since 2017.
"Results confirm KPfertil can be used to replace conventional fertilisers as a source of potassium and phosphate. Results in coffee are enhanced when used in association with coffee compost," Harvest Minerals noted.
"KPfertil increases the value of the coffee produced by increasing the proportion of the largest coffee cherries and yield."
Executive Chair Brian McMaster said: "These results are outstanding and confirm the results of our earlier testwork proving that KPfertil can and should replace the use of conventional fertilisers.
Shares in the company closed 7.3% lower at 3.20 pence each in London on Friday.
