LONDON (Alliance News) - Industrial and property services firm Hargreaves Services PLC said Friday it sold 11 acres of residential development land in Scotland to housebuilder Bellway PLC for GBP9 million.
Hargreaves sold the 10.8 acres site of serviced residential development land at its key Blindwells site near Edinburgh to the FTSE 250-listed builder. This follows the initial sale of Blindwells land for GBP1 million to a Scottish housebuilder earlier in 2019.
The entire Blindwells site had planning consent for over 1,600 houses.
"We are delighted to exchange contracts with Bellway in our second conditional sale of land at the Blindwells site," Hargreaves Property Director David Anderson said. "We are encouraged by the level of interest in the site and look forward to bringing further plots to market in the coming year and beyond."
Shares in Hargreaves Services were 0.8% higher at 256.00 pence on Friday. Bellway was up 0.5% at 2,798.00p.
