LONDON (Alliance News) - Hargreaves Services PLC Wednesday tried to reassure markets that its Monckton coke production plant wouldn't be affected by the planned restructuring of a key customer for at least two years.
Tata Chemicals Europe Tuesday said that it is proposing to restructure its soda ash production plants in the UK. Hargreaves supplies coke to Tata from the Monckton plant.
"Monckton's commercial position is secured through, among other things, a contract for the supply to TCE of approximately 75,000 tonnes of coke per annum through to December 2015," Hargreaves said in a statement.
Hargreaves Services shares were down 0.2% at 850 pence Wednesday morning.
