(Alliance News) - Hammerson PLC said Friday that Chief Financial Officer James Lenton intends to step down once a successor has joined.
Lenton has been part of the London and Johannesburg-listed property developer for two years since 2019. Prior to Hammerson, Lenton was chief financial officer of the Europe unit of US insurance firm AIG Inc for five years from 2014 to 2019.
"James was instrumental in navigating and conducting the rights issue and VIA Outlets disposal. I am grateful for his support and commitment to continue until his successor joins. We wish him well for the future," said Chief Executive Officer Rita-Rose Gagne.
Shares in Hammerson were down 2.4% at 22.74 pence on Friday in London, while its Johannesburg shares were 2.1% lower at ZAR4.73.
