LONDON (Alliance News) - Safety, health and environmental technology company Halma PLC on Wednesday said it has appointed Carole Cran to its board as a non-executive director.
Cran is currently chief financial officer of Aggreko PLC, the temporary power company, and previously spent seven years working for defence contractor BAE Systems PLC. She will join the board on January 1, 2016.
Halma saw its shares rise on Tuesday after it published a robust set of interim results, with pretax profit and revenue both rising in the six months to the end of September, and on the back of suggestions it may benefit from intensified security following the terror attacks in Paris.
Shares in Halma were down 0.3% to 811.00 pence on Wednesday.
