LONDON (Alliance News) - Gaming company GVC Holdings PLC on Monday said it has appointed Shay Segev to the newly-created role of chief operating officer, ahead of its merger with larger rival Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment PLC.
GVC said Segev is the former chief operating officer of FTSE 250-listed gaming technology company Playtech PLC and will be responsible for leading the integration of GVC and Bwin.Party's respective technology platforms following the completion of the merger between the two, expected in February 2016.
Segev joins the company from Gala Coral Group Ltd where he works as chief strategy officer. Gala Coral itself is in the process of merging, with Ladbrokes PLC, amid the wave of consolidation in the gambling industry.
Segev is set to join the company on March 1, 2016.
GVC shares were down 0.5% to 374.20 pence on Monday.
