LONDON (Alliance News) - Gusbourne PLC said Thursday that it has completed its 2014 harvest, and that the quality of grapes harvested has been "excellent".
The company said that yield volumes have been in line with expectations. An early spring and warm September led to an early harvest, and the company said it had been able to gather the grapes before the recent turn in the weather.
"In terms of climate, 2014 has been an excellent year at Gusbourne. Early ripening enabled us to harvest grapes of outstanding quality, which has added to our inventories of premium sparkling wine," said Chairman Andrew Weeber in a statement.
Shares in Gusbourne are trading up 0.3% at 71.71 pence Thursday afternoon.
