LONDON (Alliance News) - Gulf Marine Services PLC on Thursday said Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Simon Batey will not stand for re-election at the forthcoming annual general meeting on May 28 and will retire from the board.
In addition, the support-vessel supplier said Michael Turner and David Blewden will both join the board as senior independent non-executive directors at the beginning of June.
Blewden will replace Bates as chair of the Audit & Risk Committee, while Turner will chair the Remuneration Committee.
Turner has previously served as chief executive of aerospace firm BAE Systems PLC, chair of aerospace components company GKN PLC, which is now a part of Melrose Industries PLC, and chair of engineering services provider Babcock International Group PLC.
Meanwhile, Blewden serves as chief financial officer of Sunny Hill Energy, a solar finance and business IT support company.
"I thank Simon for his counsel and guidance, as well as his service and contribution to Gulf Marine Services over many years and we wish him all good fortune for the future," said Non-Executive Chair Tim Summers.
"I am delighted to welcome Mike, and David, who bring strong track records in relevant industries," added Summers.
Gulf Marine Services shares were trading 2.5% lower on Thursday at 12.67 pence each.
