LONDON (Alliance News) - Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd Friday said that the operator of the Akri-Bijeel block in Kurdistan, in which Gulf Keystone has a 20% working interest, has declared the field commercial after discovering oil reserves during test drilling.
In a statement, operator MOL said it is accelerating a work program by employing additional rigs and plans to submit the Field Development Plan for the whole block by the end of 2014.
Gulf Keystone shares were up 0.1% at 174.09 pence Friday morning.
