Gulf Keystone Gets Shaikan Payment As Talks With Government Continue

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd on Thursday said it has received a gross payment of USD15.0 million for the crude oil sold from the Shaikan field during July from the Kurdistan regional government of Iraq.

Gulf Keystone said it has a cash balance of USD79.6 million following the payment and said it is continuing to negotiate the final form of the May, June, and July 2016 invoices whilst also finalising the amendments to the existing production sharing contract covering the Shaikan field with authorities.

Gulf Keystone shares closed up 1.4% to 2.16 pence per share on Thursday.
