LONDON (Alliance News) - Chinese chemicals company GTS Chemical Holdings PLC on Thursday said it has received a certificate of registration from the American Petroleum Institute for conformance with API Specification Q1.
The specification covers all ISO 9001 requirements plus additional elements considered valuable by the oil and natural gas industry, GTS said. The certificate was awarded to GTS based on quality management of nine of its products, including ammonium sulfite, ammonium bisulfite and lubricating oil.
GTS said the certificate should boost its brand and attract more distributors, helping it to increase market share.
"We are delighted to receive the API certificate as a recognition of the very high standards that we aim for and achieve in all of our processes. The API recognition will add greatly to our marketing efforts," Cheng Liu, GTS's chief executive, said.
GTS shares were trading up 9.0% on Thursday at 56.70 pence.
