LONDON (Alliance News) - Gresham House PLC Thursday said it has exchanged contracts with Persimmon Homes Ltd, a division of UK housebuilder Persimmon PLC, for the sale of 20 acres of its 28 acre site at Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside in a deal worth GBP7.4 million in cash, plus overage, conditional upon Persimmon obtaining detailed planning permission.
Outline planning consent for residential use has already been granted, Gresham House said.
Gresham House said the sale proceeds are payable in four instalments over a period of 42 months from completion, which is expected by September this year.
Gresham House shares were trading at 248.00 pence Thursday morning, down 9.50 pence or 3.7%.
Persimmon shares were trading at 1,302.77 pence Thursday morning, down 11.00 pence or 0.8%.
