(Alliance News) - Gresham House PLC on Thursday said it appointed Gareth Davis as a non-executive director.
The asset manager said Davis's career has predominantly been spent as an executive at tobacco firm Imperial Tobacco, currently known as Imperial Brands PLC, where he served for 38 years, rising to become chief executive in 1996.
He currently serves as director on the boards of plumbing and heating products distributor Ferguson PLC and packaging firm DS Smith PLC.
"Gareth has known Gresham House for a number of years as part of our advisory group. We are delighted that he has agreed to deepen his involvement with the company as it looks to increase its brand awareness, internationalise and pursue further value-accretive acquisition opportunities," said Chair Anthony Townsend.
Gresham House shares were trading 0.4% higher in London on Thursday at 562.00 pence each.
