LONDON (Alliance News) - Indian green energy company Greenko Group PLC Tuesday said its Matrix 15 megawatt wind farm in Karnataka has been commissioned, taking its total generating portfolio to 426 megawatts, a 43% increase since April 2013.
Matrix is the fourth wind farm Greenko has commissioned this year. The project will sell its power directly to a multi-national IT park near Bangalore, via a 10-year indexed power purchase agreement.
"We expect to commission a further five wind farms before the 2014 monsoon, which would give us over 600 MW for next year's main generating season," Chief Executive Anil Chalamalasetty said in a statement.
Greenko shares were up 0.4% at 149 pence Tuesday morning.
