2nd Feb 2016 07:55

LONDON (Alliance News) - Greene King PLC on Tuesday said Chairman Tim Bridge will retire from the board on May 1, to be replaced by Philip Yea on May 2.

Yea is currently a senior independent director at telecoms group Vodafone Group PLC and IT services company Computacenter PLC, and recently stepped down as chairman of online gaming company bwin.party digital entertainment PLC following its acquisition by GVC Holdings PLC.

Prior to this, he was chief executive of private equity investor 3i Group PLC, a finance director at drinks giant Diageo PLC and finance director at Guinness PLC.

"We are very pleased that Philip Yea has agreed to join the board and to take over from Tim as chairman from May. He has a wealth of industry knowledge and I am sure that his wide expertise, business experience and personal qualities will contribute greatly to the future and continued success of the group," Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Rob Rowley said in a statement.
