LONDON (Alliance News) - Precious and base metals miner Greatland Gold PLC said on Monday it has started its first exploration campaign at the Black Hills licence in the Paterson region of Western Australia.
The campaign includes plans for surface geochemical sampling and geological mapping, in order to determine areas with the highest potential for high-grade gold mineralisation and potential drill targets.
"We are very pleased to commence Greatland's first exploration campaign at Black Hills. Black Hills represents a compelling exploration opportunity for the company with the potential for several zones of high-grade, near-surface gold mineralisation. If results from this exploration campaign are positive, then it is our current intention to rapidly advance exploration at Black Hills over the next six months," said Chief Executive Officer Gervaise Heddle.
Shares in Greatland Gold remained flat at 0.74 pence on Monday.
