LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC on Thursday said initial results from the Bromus project in Australia has confirmed a substantial nickel bedrock conductor at the prospect.
Greatland said a ground electromagnetic survey conducted at the site in order to identify nickel sulphide targets has been completed. It confirmed one substantial nickel sulphide bedrock conductor, an area of highly conductive material in the bedrock, along with three others which will require drill testing.
Drilling is scheduled to start in the third quarter of this year, Greatland said.
"We are excited to have succeeded in identifying such significant bedrock conductors at the project. The next step is drilling and we are already working to secure the relevant Government approvals," said Greatland Chief Executive Callum Baxter.
Shares in Greatland surged on the news, up 40% to 0.2037 pence to be the best performer in the AIM AIM All-Share.
