Greatland Gold Shares Rise As Drilling Set To Start At Ernest Giles

3rd Jun 2015 10:49

LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC Wednesday said that drilling is set to begin at its Ernest Giles project in central Western Australia after receiving government approval.

The mineral exploration and development company, which is based in Australia, said it will begin drilling gold and nickel targets at Ernest Giles. It said that drill access has been established, with field crews preparing to begin drilling.

"The project area itself is virtually unexplored because it is covered by desert sands and sediments, making it an exciting prospect. We look forward to updating the market again once drilling has begun," Chief Executive Callum Baxter said in a statement.

Shares in Greatland Gold were up 14.5% at 0.166 pence in London on Wednesday.
