LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC Thursday said it has achieved further positive results from drilling activities at its Warrentinna Gold project in Tasmania.
The mineral exploration and development company with operations in Australia said three drillholes for 300 metres were completed at its Derby North prospect.
The company said all three holes intersected gold mineralisation above 0.7 grams per tonne gold including an 8 metre space at 3.11 grams per tonne gold and a 4 metre space at 2.16 grams per tonne gold.
Greatland Gold said the results suggest there's high potential for depth extensions of the formation and single metre re-sampling results are expected in the second quarter 2014.
Greatland Gold shares were down 8.7% to 0.822 pence, putting it in the top AIM losers Thursday.
