Greatland Gold Launches New Exploration Effort At Paterson, Australia

13th Aug 2018 10:01

LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC said Monday it has launched a third exploration programme in the Paterson region in Western Australia.

The precious and base metals exploration company said the new programme will focus on the Scallywag target and it will be conducted alongside the existing programmes at Havieron and Black Hills in the same region.

"The Scallywag target, located within the Havieron licence, consists of several magnetic anomalies over a large area of approximately 6 kilometres times 4 kilometres, each with the potential to host gold and or copper mineralisation," the company explained.

"The Paterson region remains relatively under-explored, and we believe that it is highly prospective for large mineralised systems. Our licences host multiple large magnetic anomalies, similar in scale and structure to Havieron, and, over the course of the next twelve months, we intend to pursue a systematic programme of regional exploration that will test a number of these additional regional targets," Chief Executive Officer Gervaise Heddle said.

Greatland Gold shares were trading flat at 1.18 pence each in London on Monday.
