LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC said Tuesday that it detected high grade gold from the testing of multiple rock chip samples from its Black Hills licence in Western Australia.
Greatland Gold shares were trading up 22% at 1.29 pence each on the back of the news.
The company said it detected a total of 28 rock chip samples of which 11 returned gold values over 10 gram per tonne of gold.
The three highest grades found were 81.7 grams per tonne, 45.7 grams per tonne and 37.6 grams per tonne. Many rock chip results also returned high silver values, the company said.
Chief Executive Officer Gervaise Heddle said: "We are delighted by these results which significantly extend the strike length of surface gold mineralisation at the prospect and further highlight the potential for Black Hills to host a large, high-grade gold deposit."
