Great Western Submits Drilling Application For Target 4 Project In Nevada

1st Sep 2014 09:06

LONDON (Alliance News) - Great Western Mining Corporation PLC Monday said the Target 4 drilling application for its Nevada, US-based exploration project has been submitted to the United States Forest Service (USFS).

Great Western appointed Nevada-based Environscientists Inc earlier this year to put together a plan of operations for the Target 4 exploration area, located entirely on National Forest Systems lands overseen by the USFS.

The biological survey and report was completed on July 1, with a full report due to be submitted to the USFS on September 5. The outline biological survey, as part of the plan of operations, was submitted on August 8.

"Great Western and Environscientists have worked closely with the USFS on our Target 4 exploration project, which is the Company's second major prospect in the Marietta District, Mineral County, Nevada," said Great Western Chief Executive David Fraser.

"The company is planning a 9-12 hole discovery level drilling programme to test the thickness of the copper oxides and the character of the copper sulphides at Target 4," Fraser added.

Great Western shares were up 5.5% to 0.638 pence on Monday.
