LONDON (Alliance News) - Great Western Mining Corp PLC Thursday said it is progressing with its plans for the Target 4 exploration project in the US, and will submit biological evaluations for the project by March and host the US Forest Service, which administers the land the project is based on, in a site visit later this year.
In 2014, the company appointed Environscientists Inc to provide project management services and to conduct baseline studies and prepare a plan of operations for its Target 4 exploration project in Nevada in the US.
"Great Western Mining and Environscientists have worked closely with the United States Forest Service on our Target 4 exploration project, which is the company's second major prospect in Mineral County, Nevada," said Chief Executive David Fraser.
The Target 4 exploration project is located entirely on National Forest System lands, which is administered by the US Forest Service.
Environscientists submitted the final version of the biological survey and report for the project on November 24, and is expecting to submit its biological evaluations for the Target 4 project to the US Forest Service by March 1, said Great Western.
"The company is pleased to have developed an excellent working relationship with the United States Forest Service," said Fraser.
Great Western said the US Forest Service will be visiting the project on September 30, 2015, to review the company's proposed plan of operations for the project, which it submitted to the Forest Service on January 7.
"The company is planning a discovery level drilling programme at Target 4 which is anticipated to be a significant milestone in the development of the Marietta Copper District," said Fraser.
Great Western shares were untraded on Thursday, last trading at 0.570 pence per share.
