LONDON (Alliance News) - Great Western Mining Corp PLC said on Tuesday that the M2 infill drilling programme in Mineral County, Nevada has progressed well despite technical and operational difficulties, leading to a delayed eighth hole.
The issues have been resolved and the eighth hole is expected to be completed by the end of the week. Assay results from the holes completed earlier are also are expected by the end of next week.
Meanwhile, the field team has been able to bring the start of the three-hole M2 Sharktooth zone diamond core drill programme forward, Great Western Mining said, with drilling on the first borehole starting last Tuesday. The programme's objective is for the three holes to reach depths of between 775 metres and 900 metres.
In addition, Great Western said it has gained final approval from the US Forestry Service to restart M4 drilling, which is now expected to take place later this week.
"The 2018 drill programme is now starting to move through the gears as weather conditions in the Huntoon Valley improve. For the first time we will be drilling with three rigs simultaneously and we are relishing the task of accelerating operations. We expect to receive the first results from the M2 infill drill programme in the next couple of weeks and will update shareholders on these and future developments," said Chief Executive David Fraser.
