LONDON (Alliance News) - Bob Rosenthal, who has "key" experience both in Texas and in Alaska's North Slope, has joined Pantheon Resources PLC as technical director, the firm said Monday.
Rosenthal, who joins straight away, has over 40 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, Pantheon said, and has held senior positions at both BP PLC and ExxonMobil Corp.
Since 1999, Rosenthal has run a consultancy business and has worked at a number of both private and public exploration firms.
Chief Executive Jay Cheatham said: "We are delighted to announce that Bob will be joining the board. Bob was a founder of Great Bear Petroleum and brings a wealth of industry and technical expertise that will be greatly benefit our projects in both North Slope of Alaska and in east Texas.
"I consider Bob to be a geologist of exceptional talent, and I could not be happier to have him joining our team."
Pantheon bought its interests in the North Slope from Great Bear Petroleum for USD49 million in January.
Shares were 3.3% higher on Monday at 27.38 pence each.
