LONDON (Alliance News) - Graphene NanoChem PLC Tuesday said its waste-based second-generation biofuel PlatClear has received approval to be sold into the US market.
The performance-chemicals and advanced-materials company said that its PlatClear product, which its currently sold into the EU market, and its Senawang chemicals facility, both received approval from the US Environmental Protection Agency, to supply waste-based biofuels to the US market, and said it opens up the high-priced US export market for the company.
"The US represents an important market for us, with exciting growth prospects due to its growing demand for biofuels and highly attractive pricing structure, and we are looking at entry into the US market in 2014," said Chief Executive Officer Jespal Deol in a statement.
Graphene NanoChem shares were up 9.5% or 6.25 pence mid morning Tuesday, trading at 72.00 pence per share.
