LONDON (Alliance News) - Renewable energy generator and supplier Good Energy Group PLC Wednesday said it raised GBP3.1 million in a share offer, and proposed increasing the total size of the offer to GBP3.8 million as it was "significantly oversubscribed".
It proposed expanding the offer by a further 358,920 shares at the same price, 208 pence. This expansion is subject to shareholder approval at its annual general meeting Tuesday.
Shares in Good Energy were up 1.2% at 210.00 pence Wednesday.
"I am delighted that we have received such overwhelming support and would like to thank our new and existing shareholders for once again choosing to support Good Energy's plans for the future. We are delighted with the strong response and support from our customers, shareholders and bondholders," said Chief Executive Officer Juliet Davenport in a statement.
"In light of its success, we have decided to increase the share offer by circa GBP800,000 so that even more people can share in our vision for the future. It is of course still possible to buy Good Energy shares on the open market," Davenport added.
