LONDON (Alliance News) - Good Energy Group PLC Monday said its pretax profits increased in its first half as higher power generation helped company finances.
The alternative energy company said its pretax profit increased 32% to GBP1.2 million from GBP796,000 for the six months ended June 30.
The company said its sales increased 27%, to GBP18.2 million from GBP14.3 million as its 9.2 megawatt wind farm in Cornwall site providing higher power generation than previously expected.
Good Energy also noted that its number of electricity customers increased by 16% to over 34,000 and its number of gas customers increased 64% to 11,000.
Good Energy shares were up 1.33% to 160.11 pence Monday
