Good Energy Group Wins Planning Approval For Wiltshire Solar Farm

4th Jul 2014 07:31

LONDON (Alliance News) - Good Energy Group PLC said Friday it has been granted planning consent for a 4.9 megawatt solar farm in north Wiltshire.

The AIM-listed renewable electricity supplier's Founder and CEO, Juliet Davenport said of the news, "Each solar farm that gains planning consent offers the opportunity for more renewable electricity to be produced and supplied to customers here in the UK. This site will deliver benefits to local people via a community fund and to the surrounding natural environment through a bespoke ecological plan."

Last month the company reported that it had begun producing and exporting electricity to the National Grid from its first 5 megawatt solar farm in Dorset, England.

Shares in Good Energy Group were Friday quoted at 236 pence per share, untraded.
