Good Energy Commissions New Solar Farm In Wiltshire

2nd Mar 2015 10:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Good Energy Group PLC on Monday said it has commissioned a new five megawatt solar farm in Rook Wood in Wiltshire, west England.

The site will generate sufficient electricity to power around 1,100 homes, the company said, and brings the number of solar farms developed and operated by Good Energy to three.

Good Energy also said it has made a further drawdown from its GBP45 million lending facility with GCP Infrastructure Investments Ltd.

"This latest addition to our generation portfolio will make an important contribution to the renewable energy targets for Wiltshire, while helping Good Energy meet the demands of its growing numbers of customers. It also demonstrates the value of solar power as part of our renewable electricity generation portfolio," said Good Energy Chief Executive Juliet Davenport.

Shares in Good Energy were down 0.2% to 217.00 pence on Monday.
