Good Energy Commissions New Five-Megawatt Solar Farm In Dorset

29th Jan 2016 09:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Renewable electricity supplier Good Energy Group PLC on Friday said it has commissioned a new solar power site near Wareham in Dorset.

The five-megawatt Oaklands Plantation will generate enough renewable electricity to supply around 1,300 homes. It will bring the number of solar firms built and operated by Good Energy to seven.

"The site will make an important contribution towards Dorset's renewable energy targets, and will also deliver benefits to local people in the form of a community fund and bespoke biodiversity plans," said Juliet Davenport, Good Energy's chief executive.

Shares in Good Energy were untraded on Friday, having last traded at 188.00 pence.
