(Alliance News) -Â Gooch & Housego PLC on Tuesday said it has temporarily closed its Fremont, California facility until early April.
"This follows a legal order issued by the public health officers of Alameda county, California requiring all residents of the county to shelter at home for three weeks beginning 17 March 2020 in order to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus," said Gooch.
The closure will run until April 7. This action will shift the balance of revenue generated at the site to an increased second half weighting, Gooch & Housego added.
Shares in the optical components and systems manufacturer closed down 13% at 808.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
