Golden Saint Recovers Diamonds, Makes Sales At Australian Event

3rd Jul 2015 09:48

LONDON (Alliance News) - Golden Saint Resources Ltd Friday said it recovered four distinctive diamonds in June alongside a further batch of smaller diamonds from the Baja and Tongo projects in Sierra Leone.

The miner said three of the four distinctive diamonds were white diamonds with 2.25, 2.62 and 3.12 carats respectively, whilst the fourth diamond had 4.41 carats and a further 89 carats of small diamonds under 0.5 carats were also recovered.

On June 25, the company generated AUD32,600 in confirmed sales after hosting The Diamond Club event in Perth, Australia, and said there are several enquiries still pending.

"The event was extremely well attended. The interest shown among Australian shareholders and invited guests was encouraging. Golden Saint works constantly to increase its inventories in order to host these events on a regular basis," said the company.

"Sales of Golden Saint's diamonds at the Diamond Club is now generating revenue for Golden Saint and I believe it is an exceptional way to promote the company. The board is confident that if the company hosts these events on a regular basis and in different locations, the circle of interest in the company's growing inventory of diamonds will be widened," added Chairman Cyril D'Silva.

In addition, Golden Saint said its newly appointed technical consultants, Rock Forage, are due to conduct their first site visit in early August 2015. Rock Forage and the company's in house technical team will work together progress the company's exploration and bulk sampling activities.

In particular, the company and Rock Farage will look to "work more aggressively" on the 38 priority 1 targets identified in the Airborne Magnetic Survey conducted in March.

As well as the Baja and Tongo projects, Golden Saint also has the Moa project which is situated near the other two projects.

Golden Saint shares were up 2.7% to 0.190 pence per share on Friday morning.
