LONDON (Alliance News) - Public transport operator The Go-Ahead Group PLC Monday said it has appointed Patrick Butcher as chief financial officer.
Butcher joins the group from infrastructure manager Network Rail, where he has been group finance director since 2009. He also previously held finance director roles at English, Welsh and Scottish Railways (now DB Schenker), Mapeley Ltd, London Underground and Kings College Hospital.
Butcher will start his new role in May 2016. In the meantime, Financial Controller Paul Edwards will become interim group finance director following Keith Down's departure on November 13.
"I am delighted that Patrick is joining the group and look forward to working alongside him. He will be an excellent addition to the Go-Ahead team, bringing strong financial management capabilities as well as significant transport sector and stakeholder experience," Chief Executive David Brown said in a statement.
