(Alliance News) - Global Ports Holding PLC on Thursday said it has created a new regional structure for its cruise operations, appointing directors to manage key regions.
Javier Rodriguez, who is presently global manager of Barcelona cruise port is to be regional director of the firm's West Mediterranean operations, including the "Barcelona, Malaga, Lisbon and Singapore ports".
Meanwhile, the firm's Ege Port General Manager Aziz Gungor will be East Mediterranean regional director, covering the "Ege Port, Bodrum, Antalya, Zadar and Bar cruise ports".
Stephen Xuereb, who is chief operating officer of Global Ports, will act as Central Mediterranean regional director, covering ports in "Valletta, Cagliari, Catania and Ravenna".
Michael Maura Junior, who recently joined Global Ports, is to be regional director of the Americas.
Global Ports Chief Executive Emre Sayin said: "Our new organisational structure is another step forward in the evolution of the group. It reflects our growing operations and will help provide a strong platform for our next stage of growth, while maintaining operational discipline across the current portfolio. I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate our regional directors for their new roles and to welcome Michael Maura Junior to the GPH team."
Shares in Global Ports were down 2.4% at 338.00 pence on Thursday afternoon.
