(Alliance News) - Satellite communications equipment provider Global Invacom Group Ltd on Monday said it has formed a new unit, PT Global Invacom Indonesia, in Jakarta to support new sales and marketing activities across the Asia-Pacific region.
The company hopes the physical presence in Indonesia through a limited liability company will significantly improve its ability to address its core market directly. The new unit will be led by Johann Panait, director of Sales & Business Development, Asia & India.
The Asia region generated revenue of USD5.2 million for Global Invacom in 2018.
"We are delighted to have made significant progress in strengthening our sales and marketing function in Asia, which we believe has the potential to unlock value for the Group. Demand for satellite communications equipment remains strong and we will continue to focus on both strengthening and broadening our sales footprint globally," said Chair Tony Taylor.
Shares in Global Invacom were untraded at 7.00 pence in London.
