LONDON (Alliance News) - Alternative finance sector investor GLI Finance Ltd on Tuesday said it has invested a total of GBP2 million in SME credit broker Funding Options Ltd.
GLI will invest GBP1.25 million in the ordinary equity of the company securing a 29% stake, and will invest GBP0.75 million in preference shares of the company.
"Funding Options is a great business using sophisticated matchmaking technology alongside expert support, and I am delighted to welcome them to the GLI family," said GLI Chief Executive Geoff Miller.
"Funding Options exemplifies how brokered alternative finance can be invaluable for small businesses trying to navigate an ever expanding range of financers, having referred UK SMEs to more than fifty alternative lenders in the past year," Miller added.
Shares in GLI were down 2.0% to 55.00 pence on Tuesday.
